Important Points SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) During the Inspection of RCC NP4 Pipes: -    Image-Hydro Test (Photo Credit: Ritesh Raj) (1.) Firstly, approved QAP will be checked.  (2.) ID marks should be marked on the inner and outer sides of pipes.  Image-ID Mark (Photo Credit: Ritesh Raj)  (3.) To check the inner and outer diameter of pipes.   (4.) Smooth finishing and before dispatch of RCC pipes cement slurry or grouting where required.   (5.) Load test is required for RCC pipes as per IS codes. It is different for each dia, of RCC pipes.  Image-Plate Load Test (Photo Credit: Ritesh Raj)   (6.) Concrete mix design checked and in which cement content, cement brand, and water-cement ratio should be checked.  (7.) The straightness test to be checked of RCC pipes through the straightness rods to collinear visible.   (8.) As per requirement 2% of hydro tests are to be checked as IS:458 of the total ordered quantity.  Image-Hydro Test (Pressure Release) (Photo Credit: Ritesh Raj)

Metal tray with centre hole (5.) Measuring scale (6.) Cutting and excavating tools (7.) Metal tray (8.) Sand clean and uniform passing 1mm IS sieve and retained on 600 micron IS sieve. Recent Blog: Specific gravity and water absorption of coarse aggregate (Image Credit: Ritesh Raj) Test Procedure- (1.) Take the weight of sand and sand pouring cylinder before pouring leaving a gap of 10 mm from the top. Suppose Wt=17110 gm. Note this weight in format. (2.) Take the metal tray with hole and place the metal tray with central on levelled surface and excavate a hole in soil in pavement layer through the opening in the tray with depth of 150 mm. (Image Credit: Ritesh Raj) (3.) Excavation will be in vertical position and excavated soil will kept in the same tray. (4.) Collect all excavated material carefully in another

Specific Gravity And Water Absorption of Coarse Aggregate Coarse Aggregate (Image Source: Pexels.com) Apparatus Required:- (1.) Weighing Balance of capacity not less than 5 kg. (2.) A thermostatically controlled oven' (3.) Glass vessel of sufficient capacity (4.) Air tight container (5.) 10 mm IS sieve (6.) Sample under test (7.) Observation Sheet Recent Blog: Water Absorption Test of Brick  Procedure of Test:- (1) To start the experiment, take 1 kg of coarse aggregate in its natural state. Record the reading in the observation sheet. (2.) Now, sieve the sample through 10 mm IS sieve to remove the finer particle. (3.) Separate the sieve (retaining particle) sample in the glass vessel. (4.) Partly fill the vessel with distilled water.(i.e. water is filled more than aggregate level) (5.) Keep the aggregate immerse for 24 hours so that they are completely submerged and glass vessel will covered through their cover. (6.) Vessel is interrupted (i.e. shaken) so that air will remove. (
