ID marks should be marked on the inner and outer sides of pipes.  Image-ID Mark (Photo Credit: Ritesh Raj)  (3.) To check the inner and outer diameter of pipes.   (4.) Smooth finishing and before dispatch of RCC pipes cement slurry or grouting where required.   (5.) Load test is required for RCC pipes as per IS codes. It is different for each dia, of RCC pipes.  Image-Plate Load Test (Photo Credit: Ritesh Raj)   (6.) Concrete mix design checked and in which cement content, cement brand, and water-cement ratio should be checked.  (7.) The straightness test to be checked of RCC pipes through the straightness rods to collinear visible.   (8.) As per requirement 2% of hydro tests are to be checked as IS:458 of the total ordered quantity.  Image-Hydro Test (Pressure Release) (Photo Credit: Ritesh Raj)

(i) From the group of bricks, three nos. of brick has been selected.

(ii) Mark on them through using permanent marker i.e. 1,2 and 3.

(iii) All bricks will fully submerse in water tank for 24 hours at the room temperature of 280C.

(iv) After 24 hours, we will remove all bricks one by one from water tank.

(v) Using the cotton cloth and clean the surface of bricks.

(vi) Now all bricks are weighted which denotes W2 (i.e. bricks are weighted in saturated condition).

 Sl. No.                    W2

1.                           3.025

2.                           2.987

3.                           2.980

(vii) All bricks will kept in hot air oven at 105 0C for 24 hours.

(vii) After 24 hours, oven will switch off and all bricks will remove from oven and kept in a tray.

(viii) Weighted one by one, which indicates W1 (Weight in dry condition).

Sl. No.                   W1

1.                         2.896

2.                         2.945

3.                         2.902

(ix) Using this table:-

Description

Specimen 1

Specimen 2

Specimen 3

Weight of brick in dry condition (W1, in Kg)

2.896

2.945

2.902

Weight of brick in saturated condition (W2, in Kg)

3.025

2.987

2.98

(x) Now, using this formula=(W2-W1/W1)*100
