Important Points SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) During the Inspection of RCC NP4 Pipes: -    Image-Hydro Test (Photo Credit: Ritesh Raj) (1.) Firstly, approved QAP will be checked.  (2.) ID marks should be marked on the inner and outer sides of pipes.  Image-ID Mark (Photo Credit: Ritesh Raj)  (3.) To check the inner and outer diameter of pipes.   (4.) Smooth finishing and before dispatch of RCC pipes cement slurry or grouting where required.   (5.) Load test is required for RCC pipes as per IS codes. Concrete mix design checked and in which cement content, cement brand, and water-cement ratio should be checked.  (7.) The straightness test to be checked of RCC pipes through the straightness rods to collinear visible.   (8.) Note:-

(1.)             In FE: 415 Steel, the no. 415 indicates their minimum yield stress.

(2.)             We have also seen two types of steel FE: 550, that means the steel grade is same, but 
             FE: 500 D is more ductile than FE: 500.

(3.)             We should always prefer FE:500D instead of FE:500, because FE:500D steel is enable to withstand the sudden load absorption capacity, which will helps to sustain the structure safely during earthquakes, cyclone, tsunamis etc.

(4.)             Steel reinforcement bar is used in concrete to improve the tensile strength of concrete.  (Because steel is good in compression but weak in tension)

(5.)             Steel reinforcement bar is strong in both tension and compression.

(6.)             Length of steel bar=12 meter

(7.)             Steel reinforcement bar is coated with zinc.

(8.)             At high temperature steel reinforcement will melt. So, we are not welded the reinforcement.

(9.)             During storage of steel, we should make a platform and steel is kept on it.

(10.)         For remove the rust wire brush will used before any further work of steel.
