India is a fastest growing and developing country. Some best examples of the construction of modern india:-

    (1.)  Statue of unity:-

Statue of unity is the best example in construction industry for developing India. It is a world’s tallest statue, whose height is 182 meters (597 feet).It is situated on a river facing the sardar sarovar dam on the bank of the Narmada River. The statue is located in the state of Gujrat , India. It was built on the memory of iron man “Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel”. Sadar Patel is known as unity man. He played a vital role in Indian Independence movement and also unite the 562 princy state of India to built a single union of Indian state. So, Sardar Patel is known as person of unity.

Larson & Turbo (L&T) company construct this memorable statue. Work of construction is started in 2010 and it was completed in October 2013.Total construction cost on this project is comes out 2,989 crore in Indian rupees. It was inaugurated on dated 31st October 2018 by honorable prime minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi on the occasion of 143th birth anniversary of Sadar Patel. It was designed by Ram V. Sutar.

This statue can easily visible from surrounding area of 12 km.The statue and its surrounding areas occupy more than 2 hecters. For the improvement of tourism sector, it is also playing a large level role.


    (2.)  Auroville Dome, Puducherry:-

It is a beautiful structure, which is situated in Puducherry . Distance from Chennai to Auroville is 131 km and the distance from puducherry to Auroville is approx 10 km. Formally is known as “Matri mandir”. In the dome a large meditation hall is available. It is also used for the purpose of yoga. Approx 37 years time taken by this structure.

Auroville society wants to make a beautiful town, where human of all countries are able to live in peace and progressive harmony.The main aim of Auroville is to release human unity.


   (3.)  Bandra-Worli Sea Link:-

      This sea link one side connected to Bandra and another side to Worli. It is a planned route.It is also known as Rajiv Gandhi sea link.In future proposed plan is it will also connected to famous Nariman Point. Due to this sea link time was reduced to travel between Bandra and Worli. It has eight lane .It is divided into 4 lanes of each direction. It was started on 30 June 2009.

Hindustan construction company (HCC) built this project under supervision of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC).Length of this sea link is 5.6 km, width is 40 metres and height is 126 metres (413 feet).

It consists of 120 nos. of RCC piles with 2 meter diameter, 484 piles of 1.5 meter diameter. Total 604 Piles is available in this sea link.

   (4.)  Lotous Temple:-

It is a beautiful lotus flower shape like temple is build by peoples of Bahai religions. It is situated in Delhi.

Inside this, no any temple. A big hall is inside this temple, where people sit and pray for god for humanity of all religions.

(5.) Chibab Bridge :-


Chinab bridge is world's highest under construction rail bridge. Its height is 359 meters (1178 feet).Its total length is 1315 metres (4314 feet). It is situate in Reasai district of Jammu and Kasmir. It is a concrete and steel arch bridge. It will use for Indian railway. It is constructed on Chinab river.


This project is directed by northern railway.The main purpose of this project is to connect the another part of India to Kashmir.The estimated cost of Chinab rail bridge is 1,250 Crores Indian rupees.


(6.) Motera Stadium:-


The world's largest cricket stadium motera stadium is also known as Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium.It is situated in Ahmadabad. It is a second largest stadium overall.Its construction cost is 800 Crore Indian rupees and its construction period is 2017 to 2020.

Seating capacity of this stadium is 1,10,000.On 24th February 2020, when the American prime minister Mr. Donald Trump came in India, the stadium was opened with the name of the program of "Namaste Trump". Larson & Turbo (L & T) company construct this project.

Formally,this stadium was build in 1983.Many matches of cricket and several program is conducted here. Renovation of this stadium is completed in 24 February 2020 and that got the name Motera Stadium.The operator of this stadium is Gujrat cricket stadium.


(7.) Indira Gandhi International Airport:-


Indira Gandhi International Airport is the 8th busiest airport of the entire world. It is situated in New Delhi. Terminal 3 is opened in July 2010. It is expected that in the year 2030 hundred million passenger carrying capacity will come with Indira Gandhi International Airport.

It is operated by Delhi International Airport with a private company GMR is its stakeholdres.The benefit of terminal-3 is, it is connected with delhi metro and eight lane connected roadway.
